How should I prepare my skin leading up to the wedding day?
Proper preparation ensures your makeup applies flawlessly and lasts throughout your special day. Here are our recommendations:
• Brows: Avoid waxing or threading the day before, as it can cause irritation—plan to have them done at least a few days in advance.
• Lash Extensions: If you’re getting lash extensions, ensure they are fresh, full sets before your wedding day.
• Facials & Skincare: If you plan to get a facial, schedule it at least two weeks in advance to allow time for any reactions to settle. Avoid introducing new skincare products or changing your routine within six weeks of your wedding to prevent breakouts or irritation. Ideally, you should establish a consistent skincare routine at least six months prior and stick with it.
• Spray Tans & Self-Tanner: If you’re getting a spray tan or using a self-tanner, avoid applying it to your face, as it can create a gray cast that cannot be corrected with makeup—this effect is noticeable both in person and in photos.
• Wedding Day Prep: Arrive with a freshly washed face and no products applied—this includes moisturizers, acne treatments, SPF, or serums, as they can interfere with makeup application and longevity.
If you have any questions about your specific skin concerns, we’re happy to guide you through the best preparation process!
